DAY 1
HOW TO TAKE CARE OF OUR NATURE
How Should We Take Care of Our Plants Properly?
by: Rochelle Bejemino
Taking good care of plants is an easy way to make our surroundings more beautiful. Plants provide us with fresh air, color, and a sense of calm. Whether they are indoors or outside in the yard, parks, or even every corner of the streets, plants need proper care to grow healthy and strong.
For indoor plants, light and water are very important. Some plants thrive in bright light near a window, while others can survive in lower light conditions. For example, the Snake Plant does well even in low light and doesn’t require much water. You only need to water it when the soil feels dry. Another example is the Peace Lily, which enjoys bright but indirect light and needs regular watering. If its leaves start to droop, it might be asking for water.
Indoor plants also need clean pots with drainage holes at the bottom so extra water can escape. Wiping dust off the leaves keeps them fresh and healthy. Turning the pot occasionally helps the plant grow evenly by allowing all sides to receive enough sunlight when it’s placed near or on the window.
Outdoor plants require more attention due to changing weather conditions. They need the right amount of sunlight and water. For instance, the Rose needs several hours of sunlight each day and should be watered near the roots instead of on the leaves. Trimming away dry branches encourages it to produce more flowers. The Tomato plant also needs full sun and regular watering, thrives in rich soil, and requires support like a stick or cage as it grows taller.
We should also remove weeds and check for insects that could harm outdoor plants. Adding compost or natural fertilizer keeps the soil healthy. Watering in the early morning or late afternoon is best since the sun isn’t too strong during those times.
Taking care of plants doesn’t require special skills—it just takes time, patience, and love. When we provide plants with the right light, water, and care, they flourish and make our home and garden a happier place.
Protecting nature begins with simple daily actions that anyone can take. One important step is to plant and grow responsibly by choosing native flowers or trees that support local bees and birds, and by using natural compost instead of chemical fertilizers to keep the soil healthy. It is also essential to respect the outdoors by following the “leave no trace” principle—always taking your trash with you when visiting parks or beaches—and by staying on marked trails to avoid damaging small plants or disturbing animal habitats. Saving resources is another key way to care for the environment; using less paper helps protect forests, and keeping oil or harmful chemicals out of drains helps maintain clean water systems. Finally, acting locally can make a big difference, whether by volunteering for community tree-planting projects or simply spending a few minutes picking up litter in your neighborhood. Taking care of nature matters because it ensures cleaner air, cooler surroundings, and greater protection from floods for everyone.

1. Segregate and recycle wasteSeparate biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable trash. This helps reduce pollution and garbage buildup.
2. Save water and electricityTurn off the faucet when not in use and switch off lights and appliances when they are not needed. This helps conserve natural resources.
3. Plant trees and plantsPlanting trees helps clean the air and prevent flooding.
4. Do not litterKeep your surroundings clean at home, in school, and in your community.
5. Use eco-friendly productsAvoid single-use plastics. Use reusable bags, bottles, and containers instead.

DAY 4
Why Is It Important For Us To Protect Our Mother Nature?
By: Rochelle Bejemino
Plants play a very important role in supporting life on Earth. They produce oxygen that humans and animals need to breathe while absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Plants also help clean our environment by improving air quality and preventing soil erosion. Forests, trees, and smaller plants support wildlife and protect the land, maintaining balance in nature. Without plants, many living things would struggle to survive, as they provide essential food, shelter, and fresh air.
When people plant trees and protect forests, they help keep ecosystems stable and healthy. Plants help control temperature, provide shade, and produce food that communities and even animals rely on. By caring for and growing plants, we preserve the beauty of nature and ensure that future generations can enjoy clean air, healthy surroundings, and all the benefits that plants offer.

Nature is important because it provides air, water, food, and shelter. People can take care of nature by planting trees, reducing waste, recycling, saving water and electricity, and throwing garbage properly. By doing these simple actions, everyone can help protect and keep the environment clean and healthy.

Taking care of nature is a fundamental responsibility because our survival depends on the life-supporting systems it provides, such as clean air, fresh water, and fertile soil. By prioritizing environmental stewardship through actions like proper waste segregation, reducing single-use plastics, and conserving energy, we help maintain the delicate balance of ecosystems and mitigate the effects of climate change. Protecting biodiversity ensures that every plant and animal can continue to play its vital role, ultimately securing a healthier, more sustainable future for both our physical well-being and the planet as a whole.
